On The Go and On The Go Mini
Combining medical alert capabilities with location technology, our On The Go and On The Go Mini devices are mobile options that can be used inside and outside the home.
Key Features and Benefits
On The Go is an adjustable, around-the-neck pendant that acts as a two-way communication device should the wearer need help. On The Go Mini is a smaller, more discreet version of the regular On The Go that also operates as a two-way communicator.
Both of these devices have fall detection technology in the event of an incident or emergency. This is enhanced through tracking and location technology to ensure our centre associate sends help to your exact location. Other benefits include:
- Rechargeable Battery
- Airplane Mode (Can be used throughout Canada)
- All-in-one System (no in-home communicator)
Use Cases
These products are meant for those who lead an active lifestyle outside their homes. Customers who run errands often or have a bright social life will appreciate the flexibility offered by our On The Go systems.
How it Works
Wearers can push the button on the On The Go or On The Go Mini devices for assistance or reassurance as needed. Our trained response centre associates are available 24/7 to respond promptly and assess each situation with care.
If a fall is detected, we will try to connect with the wearer and dispatch emergency assistance directly to their location.
In addition, our response centre associates can also reach out to a family member or loved one and inform them of what has happened.
On The Go with Wandering
To enhance the safety of your loved ones who may get lost easily in crowds or lose their sense of direction, our On The Go with Wandering device is specially designed with a mapping tool to share the general location of the wearer.
Key Features and Benefits
Similar to our standard On The Go system, this device is an adjustable, around-the-neck pendant. Whenever the wearer leaves home, you’ll receive an SMS text with a link to an online map, where you can monitor their location. Further, you can choose to alert LIfeline should your loved one require immediate assistance, such as EMS. These devices include fall detection technology and two-way voice for additional peace of mind.
- Easy-to-read Online Mapping Tool
- Long-lasting Battery
- No Long-term Commitment
Use Cases
The device is best suited to seniors who wander or may lose their sense of direction easily. It provides a central location indicator in your loved one’s home, monitoring their location in that area and alerting you if they are outside of it. This unique mobile device is designed for use inside and outside of the home.
How it Works
Receive an SMS text with a link to an online map anytime your loved one leaves home. The mapping tool shows the general location of your loved one and their path of travel.
You can choose to continue monitoring your loved one’s location on your smartphone or let Lifeline know that help is needed.
In addition to the tracking feature, On The Go with Wandering also includes fall detection capability and two-way voice communication with a Lifeline Response Centre Associate.
HomeSafe Medical Alert System
Our HomeSafe system is a popular option for those looking for a reliable medical alert system within the comfort of their home.
Key Features and Benefits
The HomeSafe Standard package includes two wearable devices, enhancing the user’s ability to reach our response centre associates whenever necessary:
- Pendant or Wristlet: Wearers have the choice between a lightweight pendant or wristlet, both designed for comfort and practicality. Both devices boast a long-lasting battery and can be worn in the shower.
- In-home Communicator: This central hub has high-fidelity speakers and a microphone to amplify sound throughout your home. This helps wearers hear and be heard if they have pushed the button on the communicator, pendant, or wristlet. It does not require a home phone line to function and performs regular status checks to ensure it is properly operational.
Use Cases
The Homesafe Standard system is suitable for various individuals, including those with chronic conditions that require ongoing monitoring, people living with mobility issues or visual impairments, adults who live alone, and patients recovering following a hospital discharge.
How it Works
In the event of an emergency or incident, this system requires the wearer to push the button of their wristlet or pendant. Upon activation, the user is connected to our responsive and trained Lifeline associates. They are equipped to assess the situation quickly and dispatch emergency services if required.
Once the wearer has received help, the associate can contact a family member or loved one on file as required regarding the situation.
HomeSafe with Fall Detection
Combining our most popular technology, HomeSafe with Fall Detection supports those who require an extra layer of peace of mind at home.
Key Features and Benefits
This device closely mirrors our Homesafe Standard system, but as the name suggests, it incorporates fall detection technology. This is of significant importance to those who might consider our On The Go device for this feature but who are in their homes more often than not. Fall detection, when combined with Lifeline’s medical alert technology, is a great way to support those aging in place.
Use Cases
The HomeSafe with Fall Detection device can be especially helpful for those with a risk or fear of falling. Many families also choose this device after their loved one has fallen to help safeguard them against the dangers of these incidents.
How it Works
Unlike the HomeSafe Standard, this system requires the wearer to have a pendant to ensure the effectiveness of fall detection technology, as wrist models are not as accurate.
While wearers can push the button on the device for help or the in-home communicator, the pendant will also connect customers with our 24/7 Personal Response Associates if a fall is detected. Our associates will keep you or your loved one calm while they contact emergency services as needed. Once they arrive, our associates can also contact a family member or loved one on file to alert them of what has happened.
