System & Hardware
Our HomeSafe Standard System is an affordable way to help you maintain your independence, while being prepared in the event of an emergency. This includes a Help Button, a Communicator, and 24/7 access to our Canadian based Response Centre Associates. You can select a Help Button pendant to wear around your neck or, if you prefer, a wristband style Help Button.

Our response associate contacts a neighbour, loved one, or emergency services – based on your preferences – and will follow up to make sure help has arrived.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t the fall detections be worn on the wrist?
Our Fall Detection is designed to be the most accurate. We do that based off of height and speed. If there is a sudden decrease in height and a sudden increase in speed, the Help Button can believe a fall is taking place. People talk with their hands so it would fool the button into what is going on and may not go off when needed.
With the Home Safe Landline with Fall Detection, will you be able to get the signal from my garden? Will you be able to hear me?
The range of our Homesafe system is a 350-foot radius and is quite broad, we can receive the signal even if a client is not in the same room which usually includes the front or back yard. We would perform a range test to ensure we have set up the communicator is the best location for optimal range. We would not hear our client if they were in a backyard and windows are closed, but keep in mind verbal communication is never mandatory as a client can be 2 feet away from the speaker, and is non-verbal – as long as we receive the signal within the 350 foot radius we will contact responders/emergency services as needed to assist our clients.
How big is the button worn on the wrist? How big is the Fall detection?
The Homesafe standard button is 1 1/2 inches long, 1 inch wide, 1/2 inch thick. 2 1/2 inches long, 1.1 inches wide, 1/2 inch thick
If the Fall is detected, who do we contact first?
If the client is responsive, we will speak to them through the 2-way communicator to discuss what has happened and call responders/emergency services as needed. If the client is unresponsive, then we will try calling over the phone. If there is no answer over the phone, we will then call 911 then call the list of responders.
